Gyanmata High School is a co-educational institution managed by the Gyanmata Educational Society. It is located in Khanvel, one of the villages in southern Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The school was started in 1942 by the Pilar Fathers, with the primary aim of imparting education and basic values to the tribal children of the locality.
Students hail from various villages such as Khanvel, Rudana, Shelti, Khutali, Talavali, Kala, Kherdi, Sindoni, Velugam, and other surrounding areas within a radius of 15 km. Gyanmata High School promotes the well-being of all its students, regardless of caste or creed.
The school follows the three-language formula:
- Marathi as the First Language (FL)
- Hindi as the Second Language (SL)
- English as the Third Language (TL)
Over the years, the students have consistently performed well in academics as well as in extracurricular activities, winning numerous accolades and trophies. This has made Gyanmata High School one of the most sought-after schools in Khanvel.
